MUMBAI, July 10 (Reuters) - Indian soybean futures rose on early Friday on short-covering after a 13 percent drop in nearly two weeks to Thursday and tracking overnight gains in U.S. soybean, but large-scale domestic sowing limited the gains.
At 10:50 a.m, the August soybean contract NSBQ9 on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange was up 1.3 percent at 2,294 rupees per 100 kg.
The August soyoil prices NSOQ9 was up 0.37 percent at 448.35 rupees per ten kg.
Sowing in largest producer Madhya Pradesh is expected to have touched 3.5 million hectares in the current sowing season, raising expectations of normal to better supplies this year despite delay in rains, state government officials said. (Reporting by Sourav Mishra; Editing by Prem Udayabhanu
