NEW DELHI, Aug 18 (Reuters) - The Indian government may ask mills to double the supply of low-priced sugar for subsidised sale to the poor, the Economic Times reported, without citing sources.
Currently, Indian sugar mills are forced to sell 10 percent of their output at low rates set by the government. This may be raised to 20 percent, the newspaper said.
