NEW DELHI, Sept 1 (Reuters) - India's sugar stocks at the start of the new season on Oct. 1 will be "much smaller" than last year, Farm Minister Sharad Pawar told a conference on Tuesday.
Poor monsoon rains, a quarter short of normal so far, would reduce sugar recovery from cane, he added. (
