Aug 21 (Reuters) - The following table shows the week by week
data of monsoon rainfall issued by the India Meteorological
Department.
The numbers show the cumulative percentage change in total
rainfall since June 1, compared with the long-period average for
the entire country and certain regions.
Sugarcane and rice are grown in the northwest, soybean is
cultivated in central India, while the southern region produces
rice, corn and some sugarcane. Northeast India primarily produces
rice and tea.
