VARANASI: In continuation of the drive against food adulteration, the teams of district officials and police conducted raids at several places
and collected samples for testing on Friday.
A team raided the Daal unit in Lehartara area and sealed about 80 quintal `daal' after collecting samples. Another team raided an oil mill at Kazzakpura in Adampur area and sealed the godown with a stock of 1238 tins of mustard oil and 200 tins of palm oil after taking samples. The unit had no license for the production of palm oil. One Satosh Tiwari was detained in this connection.
Raids were also conducted at an oil trading unit at Shyam Bazar in Machhodari area and a flour mill in Pandeypur area, but no irregularity was found there.
