Mumbai, Jan 4 (PTI) Groundnut oil prices firmed up at the oils and oilseeds market here today due to increased offtake from stockists and retailers amid lower arrivals from the key producing regions.
Refined palmolein rose on renewed demand from retailers coupled with rising trend in overseas market.
Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial edged higher owing to good enquiries from shippers and soap industry.
Castorseeds futures also moved up on good exporters's demand.
Linseed oil ended stable in the absence of necessary buying support.
In the edible section, groundnut oil moved up by Rs 5 to Rs 690 from weekend's closing level of Rs 685 and refined palmolein hardened by Rs 7 to Rs 407 as against Rs 400 previously.
